When you upload a PDF, it is processed entirely on our servers and never stored permanently. The file exists in a temporary directory for the duration of processing — typically a few seconds.
Once we return the unlocked PDF to you, both the original and the unlocked copy are scheduled for automatic deletion within 1 hour. We do not read, index, or analyse the content of your files.
We never share your files with third parties under any circumstances.
To enforce the free tier limit of 10 unlocks per day, we store an anonymous count tied to your IP address. This resets every 24 hours.

Payments are processed via the x402 protocol on the Base blockchain. When you pay $0.05 USDC, the transaction is verified on-chain by Coinbase's facilitator service.
